Fire Safety Month!
Julianne had a fireman come to preschool today and apparently there was a fire truck there too. I thought back to early September, when our village had a firehouse open-house, geared especially for children aged 6 and under. Joe and I took the kids to see what it was all about. The kids were able to climb up on the firetrucks and into the ambulances, and explore a bit. There was even a demo of a firefighter putting on all the gear. I have a whole new respect for firefighters after I discovered how heavy their gear was, and how insanely hot it is under all that protective equipment. Here are some cute pictures from that day:
